I work out both …
I work out both with and without music and I noticed that when listening to music (should be high BPM dance music) I can do cardio longer and with more intensity.
However, I don’t listen to music when doing weight workouts because 1. the headphone cord gets in the way, and 2. I don’t concentrate on my breathing and repetitions that well.

I’ve read somewhere that women burn twice as many calories when they listen to music. Here’s a question: why don’t guys show the same results? It’s only about 20% more for men.
