  1. you’re the best!
    you’re the best!

  2. I stumbled on your …
I stumbled on your video series after my annual physical revealed an elevated blood pressure sufficient for my doctor to recommend I loose 10 (or preferably 20) pounds.
I’ve enjoyed your first three videos so far and thought I should take a minute to thank you. You are making me think about more than simple weight loss.

  3. It’s Stevia isn’t …
It’s Stevia isn’t it? Guess I’ll have to watch and see.

  4. There is no one who …
There is no one who has better explained true cause of diabetes better than Wai.

She will tell you in scientific terms why you must consume healthy fats with protiens and sugars (fruits) at every meal to control blood sugar and energy.

    Google: Waisays dot com
Scroll until you see true cause of diabetes.

Awesome site and nothing for sale.

  5. Correct spelling is …
Correct spelling is Alloxan. In fact scientists use this chemical on lab rats to induce diabetic condition in rats because it destroys pancreatic cells efficiently.

Yet it is allowed in the mass production of white bread and albeit other refined grains in the bleaching process.

Source article. Google: alloxan Idaho observer.

    or simply google: alloxan diabetes.

  6. Diabetes.

    Diabetes.

Redundant protien and sugar in the absence of healthy fats. Sugar/glucose as in refined grains primarily and refined sugar secondary.

Also by the chemical Aloxin which is intentionally added to white bread bleaching process and is very effective at destroying pancreatic cells in small amounts. (By FDA order).

The disease-for profit industry all ready knows how to kill off millions with chemicals.

“Population control can be managed through food”- Henry Kissinger.

  7. Particularly …
Particularly refined high glycemic carbos are nasty as they lead to fast hyperglycemia. Also add to your list a severe inflammatory effects on the body systems (rusting/ oxidative/ free radical damage so to speak) which contributes to so many health problems (cardiac, autoimmune etc…)
Sucralose is a real garbage (chlorinated sugar close to the chemical structure of pesticides).

  8. Hobbes described …
Hobbes described life as “solitary, poor, brutal, nasty and short.” He had a point.

But the decision to indulge in unhealthy foods and beverages is not usually a conscious trade-off, I think. It’s made in ignorance, against which traditional media, with its ad-centered bias, is unhelpful. People do not know the harm they do – to themselves and their children.

  9. Awareness is on the …
Awareness is on the rise, I think – partly, if not mostly, because of the internet. Traditional media is still catering to the diet industry and food and beverage advertisers.

The net is not terribly reliable as a source of information, of course. But there is a lot of discussion going on, and that’s a positive sign.

  10. Most people i …
Most people i encountered were easily tempted to reason their fast-food and processed-foods lifestyle by saying “life is short, might as well we enjoy it to the most”
I see that there is a big gap between our conceptions. What i think is “life is enjoyable when we are healthy, illness-free”
All the time. i would think that i am the right one, but may be things are not that simple.
What do you think about this, Urgelt?

  11. Your insights have …
Your insights have broadened my views on health =D Thank you

As i am learning more about our modern foods and lifestyles, i sometimes feel/think that the world is really sick and going worst.
But after that, i can see some light of hope as many bodies are emerging to battle the chaotic systems.

  12. It’s a real …
It’s a real pleasure to discuss this with someone who has done his homework! :-)

ADHD is also linked to food additives in studies. But details aside, industrially-processed diets are making us sick. I can’t put it any plainer. Eating real food – not industrially processed, no drugs or antibiotics or toxins, no added sugar or corn syrup fructose etc – is much healthier.

  13. Couldn’t agree more!
    Couldn’t agree more!

  14. Similarly, obesity …
Similarly, obesity is proving to be more complex.

Diet is certainly a factor. But science keeps stumbling over other factors. Enterovirus infections are linked to obesity. Gut flora are dramatically different in obese persons – and transplanting gut flora from obese mice to sterile mice shows that obesity can be infectious. There’s a lot more left to learn.

  15. Blaming diabetes on …
Blaming diabetes on sugar overload is very mainstream. But it’s a poorly studied hypothesis in humans.

I have a feeling that when the full diabetes story is written, industrial food processing methods, unsaturated nontropical oils, food additives, genetic predisposition, and even infectious pathogens may be found to be risk factors.

I think minimizing sugar is a safe bet. But I’m not at all convinced it will, by itself, ure avoidance of type II diabetes.

  16. Sugar(in excess) in …
Sugar(in excess) in any form (starch, grain, fruit) cause almost 100 adverse well-documented effects.
Impair immune system, diabetes, cancer, yeast candida infection, upset mineral relationship, ADHD, loss of tissue elasticity and function, weaken eyesight, premature aging, and more.
And artificial sweeteners ARE WORST THAN SUGAR. I would need 5 more post to fit in all side effects of those. AVOID Aspartame, Sucralose, Acesulfame-K, Saccharin.

  17. Today, americans …
Today, americans eating average of 175 pounds of sugar a year!! Mainly from soft drinks, grains like wheat, corn, rice, potato, junk food, fruit juices, etc. To make things worst, the sugar is not just sugar. It is refined, processed sugar, it is hidden as HFCS High Frucose Corn Syrup (the #1 calorie source in amercia). Thats why the food pyramid is wrong. we need to reduce sugar and starch.

  18. The obesity AND …
The obesity AND diabetes epidemic happening in US (perhaps in some other developed countries) is mainly because sugar overdose. As Urgelt said, our bodies dont handle sugar and simple carbohydrates that well. Our ancestors consume as little as 4 pounds of sugar a year. And it came mainly from natural raw honey. The problem with sugar today is that it is more than sugar!

  19. Yes, and it can …
Yes, and it can also appear as a result of pregnancy. There are likely other factors science hasn’t yet found.

We aren’t very good at treating it, either. The drug Avandia recently came under fire for failing to reduce mortality rates at all for diabetics. Risk of death from heart failure actually goes up with the drug. So I agree, there is room for much improvement of our understanding of diabetes.

  20. diabetes can also …
diabetes can also be caused by your bodys own immune system which can attack any organ or gland and shut it down as in hashimottos thyroid

  21. Agreed, diabetes is …
Agreed, diabetes is more complex than “too much sugar causes it.”

Still, there’s a broadly accepted hypothesis about how a repeated excess of sugar leads to cellular insulin desensitization. Proven? Not really. The full story of type II diabetes has not been told. But I think excess sugar in diet is risky behavior.

  22. From the American …
    From the American diabetes ociation:

Myth #3 Eating too much sugar causes diabetes.
No. Diabetes is caused by a combination of genetic and lifestyle factors. However, being overweight does increase your risk for developing type 2 diabetes. If you have a history of diabetes in your family, eating a healthy meal plan and regular exercise are recommended to manage your weight.

  23. hey dude u …
hey dude u seriously have too much times on ya hand but ya vids are cool keeping me entertained who knows u might walk into a big discovery with the way ya going
well on too ya next vid !

  24. In HE #4, I’ve …
In HE #4, I’ve provided an alternative no-calorie sweetener that I think is safe. Thanks for commenting, Slayer.

  25. if sugar was …
if sugar was dynamite it would be no different but befor your last suggestion i tough “well better have loads of sugar than loads of chemicals” but then again why sevear your own arm off? feeding on potentialy dangerous products that you know are bad is not that different exept it takes longer. coffee any one? :P
